As one of Australia’s most recognized fund managers with a career spanning over 30 years, David is Co-Portfolio Manager of the Tribeca Smaller Companies Strategy, one of Australia’s longest running active equity strategies in addition to managing the Tribeca Recapitalisation Strategy which is focused on equity capital markets and special situations opportunities. David founded and established Tribeca in 1999 as one of Australia’s first boutique investment management firms and has grown the business, working in partnership with some of Australia’s largest institutional investors. Tarun is an Investment Analyst for the Tribeca Asia Infrastructure Fund which aims to earn superior, risk adjusted total returns through a mix of long-term capital appreciation and cash yield by investing in infrastructure companies across the Asia-Pacific universe using an index-unconstrained concentrated portfolio approach. He brings over 17 years of experience in equity markets. Prior to Tribeca, Tarun was an Investment Analyst at Tokio Marine Asset Management (Singapore) heading Asia Infrastructure & Energy equities. Tarun was earlier an infrastructure equity analyst at HSBC for 13 years covering India and ASEAN countries. Tarun holds a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from XIM-Bhubaneswar.

Thomas has responsibility for providing day-to-day leadership of Tribeca Private in addition to working closely with the firm’s ultra-high net wealth clients, providing bespoke, cross-asset investment solutions. Thomas has over 25 years’ experience in Wealth Management, at Bankers Trust, Merrill Lynch, Bell Potter and Next Financial before Co-founding Mason Stevens in 2011. As Managing Director of Mason Stevens, Thomas worked across the Asset Management and Wealth Management business and managed several Family Office relationships. In 2019, he became Co-Chief Investment Officer. Over the last 2 decades he has advised Family Office, HNW clients and worked closely with Advisory groups on managing investments across all asset classes. Ben Cleary is the Portfolio Manager for the Tribeca Global Natural Resources Fund which focuses on Energy, Mining and Soft Commodities and primarily invests in global equities and credit, but also directly in commodities. Ben is a director of ASX-listed Tribeca Global Natural Resources Ltd (TGF: ASX) and is also an experienced Cayman fund director. Tribeca has been instrumental in corner-stoning more than $10bn of announced transactions in the natural resources sector over the last 15 years and works closely with financial advisors and companies directly.

Mike has a 30-year career in financial and investment markets traversing financial centre’s Sydney, London and Hong Kong. Having started as a trader on Sydney Futures Exchange in bond and interest rates for Bankers Trust Mike relocated to London working for JP Morgan Asset Management and UBS expanding his derivatives knowledge. Returning to Asia Pacific, Mike spent time with HSBC and Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong developing deep knowledge in Asian and equity derivative trading strategies. Leaving the investment bank world Mike ventured out into interbank derivatives brokerage as a partner with Qantex Capital Markets with whom Mike returned home to Sydney with in 2013 after more than a decade in Asia. In 2015 Mike made a career pivot into private wealth after completing a Master of Financial Planning working in advisory roles for HNW individuals for the past 5 years before joining Tribeca Private in 2022.

Ted provides invaluable technical input into the due diligence process for equity and debt investments made by the Tribeca Global Natural Resources team. As a professional Geologist and Geostatistician, Ted has been involved with many technically challenging resource projects around the globe, working in a diverse array of mineralisation styles and covering a range of commodities including gold, silver, copper, base metals, PGM’s, bauxite and coal as an independent consultant and a founding principal of Cube Consulting, a geological and mining engineering services business. Ted has also acted as a Competent Person or Qualified Person under numerous international resource reporting codes including JORC, CIM, SAMREC and SME. Ted holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from the University of New England, Post-Graduate Degree in Geostatistics form the Paris School of Mines, Post-Graduate Diploma in Mineral Economics from Macquarie University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. Andrew is responsible for the ongoing enhancement of Tribeca’s in-house quantitative investment capabilities and risk management systems. Prior to joining Tribeca Andrew spent over 15 years in systems development and implementation at Barclays Global Investors and Blackrock, working alongside quantitative researchers to implement quantitative equities stock selection models. He also designed and implemented an investment platform achieving both functionality and scale to support the largest Australian quantitative equities business at the time with AUM of over $15b. Andrew started his career as an Analyst Programmer with IBM where he developed a system delivering operational efficiencies to clients and was awarded the Computerworld Object Development Award (CODA). Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science from Macquarie University.

Al spent a decade in the global multi-asset financial markets with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Macquarie Bank in Australia and Bloomberg Tradebook in Hong Kong, working across institutional debt, commodities, FX, derivatives and equities as an analyst, dealer and research sales. In 2013 Al pivoted into the private sector, and for the past 9 years has founded, built and invested in decarbonisation and impact ventures across Asia Pacific. Al was an early pioneer of sustainability-related strategies into China and Hong Kong including biofuels, green energy, clean tech, agrifood tech and green logistics. Al holds a post graduate degree in the global food and agricultural industry from the Royal Agricultural College in the UK, and since returning from Asia in 2018 has built a reputation across the APAC region in impact investing via his sleeves-up approach to portfolio management.

Jovana is an Investment Analyst within the Tribeca equities team. She joined Tribeca in 2021, having previously been an Investment Specialist at Firetrail Investments covering Australian equities. James is responsible for all operational aspects of Tribeca with oversight of finance, operations, trading, compliance and risk management teams. James brings 25 years of international banking and hedge fund experience to Tribeca having worked in Sydney, London, Tokyo and Singapore with WestLB, Macquarie Bank and JP Morgan. While at Macquarie he was involved in the implementation of the Equity Derivatives Group’s Risk Management and order management systems. At JP Morgan he was the Asia Finance lead on multiple Risk System implementations across 13 countries. Guy is the Portfolio Manager for the Tribeca Nuclear Energy Opportunities Strategy which invests in the equity and debt of companies involved in the nuclear energy industry with a key focus on the uranium sector. As a senior member of the Tribeca Global Natural Resources investment team, Guy also provides valuable insight and supply and demand modelling across key commodities such as iron ore, base and precious metals, leveraging over two decades of global commodity trading experience including 15 years as Head of Asia Base Metals Trading at Macquarie Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Economics from UNSW and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Sydney.

Revathi has responsibility for investment administration across the range of strategies managed by Tribeca. As Chief Executive Officer of Tribeca, Adam has responsibility for providing day-to-day leadership and setting the strategic direction for the firm. Prior to Tribeca Adam had an extensive 20-year career spanning both buy and sell side roles in Sydney, London and Hong Kong, most recently as Head of Equites for Citibank in Australia and New Zealand where he was responsible for all facets of the equities business across trading, sales, risk and compliance. At Citi he also served as a member of the Board of CFIML, the Global Equities Operating Committee, the Pan Asian Equities Executive Committee, and the AFMA Executive Committee. Adam holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts double degree from the University of Wollongong.

Jun Bei Liu is the Portfolio Manager of Tribeca’s Alpha Plus Fund. Since taking over sole responsibility for managing the Fund, she has quadrupled AUM. She is a passionate, motivated, and dedicated investment manager having built an 18-year career at Tribeca, starting as an equity analyst in 2005 and spending several years as a Portfolio Manager, before taking over the Alpha Plus Fund in 2019.
Jun Bei completed a commerce degree at the University of NSW, followed by a number of additional finance credentials including GAICD and CFA. She is a prolific contributor to Australia’s financial services sector, writing a regular column for the AFR and making frequent appearances for key media outlets and as a speaker at industry events. Jun Bei enjoys sharing her knowledge and love for markets with investors and promotes the growth of like-minded females within the financial services community by providing mentor opportunities and serving on the advisory committee for Australian Student Asset Management. Jun Bei is a TEDX speaker, has been appointed as a Core Fund Manager for Hearts and Minds Investments Ltd (HM1) and volunteers for the Raise Foundation Board.

Ken oversees compliance for the Tribeca group companies including financial services licensing compliance as well as the design and implementation of the organization’s internal controls and compliance management framework and procedures. He also serves as Corporate Secretary for ASX-listed Tribeca Global Natural Resources Ltd (ASX:TGF). Ken has over a decade of specialist risk and compliance management experience across funds management, equities and derivatives trading as well as private equity. Prior to joining Tribeca, he was the Compliance Manager at Sydney based AIMS Financial Group. Ken holds a Master of Commerce from Macquarie University, a Bachelor of Communication from University of Colorado, a Diploma of Financial Planning and ADA2 from Kaplan Professional. Alex is responsible for leading Tribeca’s distribution function, representing the firm’s fund offerings across equities, credit, natural resources, and carbon strategies along with maintaining strong relationships with the firm’s client base of institutional investors and financial intermediaries. Alex has over 20 years’ financial markets experience working in the United States and Asia. Prior to Tribeca, Alex worked for over a decade at HSBC, most recently in Hong Kong as Managing Director, Global Head of Global Investor Access, and Global Co-Head of ESG Sales within bank’s Markets division. In his time at HSBC, Alex also led the client management function globally for HSBC’s institutional clients. Earlier in his career, Alex held a similar role at Citi, where he oversaw the bank’s corporate marketing and origination for its Asian equity clients, based in Hong Kong and New York. Alex started his career on the buy-side in Boston at Putnam Investments and Wellington Management Company. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and is a CFA charter holder.

Susanta leverages his extensive experience and deep knowledge of the Asia region gained over 29 years of investment experience with 15 years of buy side experience. Susanta has a proven track record of managing Asia’s largest infrastructure fund (USD 800mn) at Invesco as well as the setup and management of the Global Infrastructure Fund at T Rowe Price. Susanta received his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, B. Tech (Petroleum) from IIT-ISM, Dhanbad, and is a CFA charterholder.

Tom is a senior member of the Tribeca Global Natural Resources research team and is based in New York. He has over 25 years of capital markets and specialist investment experience in the natural resources sector including 14 years as a Managing Director at Impala Asset Management covering natural resources and other cyclicals, such as industrials and transportation. Tom started his career as a metals & mining analyst and achieved ranking on Institutional Investors’ All-American Research Team in multiple years. Tom graduated from Providence College with degrees in Accounting and History and also studied Mining Engineering as non-matriculated student at the Henry Krumb School of Mines at Columbia University.

Kevin has over 10 years’ experience in fund management and portfolio accounting. He joined Tribeca in 2012 in the role of fund accountant, later moving the role of Operations Manager. Prior to joining Tribeca, Kevin was an Executive of the Managed Funds Group at Macquarie Bank, where he managed a team responsible for fund accounting duties. This investment operations role included the analysis, review and approval of unit pricing valuations, tax calculations, performance attribution, tax, statutory, client specific reporting and product management. Kevin was also responsible for the management of key external client relationships. His experience covers a wide range of asset classes including equities, cash and fixed interest, private equity, and structured products. Kevin has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UNSW and is a qualified CPA.

Charles holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in History from the University of Melbourne and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from the University of Sydney. Wiriya has broad responsibility for the financial accounting function across various Tribeca group entities. Haydn is the Portfolio Manager for the Tribeca Global Natural Resources Credit Strategy which targets senior secured opportunities in the natural resources sector using specialized lending, streaming and royalty structures. He brings over two decades of natural resources related investment experience and key relationships with corporates in the sector across Asia Pacific and North America. Prior to Tribeca Haydn spend over 20-year career at Macquarie Bank where he was Executive Director and Global Head of the bank’s Mining Finance Group and Executive Committee Member of the Commodities and Financial Markets Group. In this role, Haydn led a team of 40 people across Macquarie’s Australian, Canadian and United Kingdom offices overseeing the bank’s investments in mining and debt equity. Earlier in his career at Macquarie he worked as a Structured Debt and Derivatives Originator across a full spectrum of debt and derivatives products, customizing structures such as equity, mezzanine debt, metal streams and royalties, convertible notes, gold loans and prepaid transactions in addition to project finance. He began his career at Macquarie as a Precious Metals and Futures Options Trader with responsibility for the bank’s spot gold and silver books as well as market making and proprietary trading. Haydn holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

John is the Portfolio Manager for the Tribeca Asia Credit Strategy, which pursues an actively managed long short approach to investing in the higher yielding part of the Asian credit market. John leverages his extensive experience and deep knowledge of corporates across the Asian Pacific region gained over 12 years working at Farallon Capital Management, a global multi-strategy hedge fund firm, where he invested capital across a range of core strategies including liquid credit, direct lending, equity long/short and direct equity. John has extensive expertise in capital-intensive sectors, including metals and mining, energy and industrials which are a key focus of Strategy. While at Farallon, John served on the Executive Committee, Resources & Reserves Governance Committee and Audit Committee of PT Agincourt Resources, which owns the Martabe mine, one of the largest gold mines in Indonesia. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, where he graduated with Honors. John is the leading scorer in Princeton University water polo history and played one season professionally in the Australian National Water Polo League.

Sophia is a senior credit analyst covering the Asian corporate bond market for the Tribeca Asia Credit Strategy with key coverage responsibilities for property, technology and industrials and state-owned enterprises across the region. She brings extensive, specialist experience to the role, having previously worked at Aberdeen Standard Investments in Singapore where she was focused on the China USD bond market. She commenced her career at leading independent fixed-income research provider CreditSights. Sophia is a native Mandarin speaker and holds a Double Honors bachelor’s degree of Accountancy and Business (Double First Class Honors) from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She is also a CFA charter holder.

Todd is responsible for the maintenance of key relationships with current and prospective investors including superannuation funds, wealth advisors, family offices and high net wealth individuals. He works in partnership with the investment teams of Tribeca’s strategies to responds to investor queries and manage due diligence and reporting requests. He brings extensive experience to the role having previously worked as Senior Account Manager in the Private Wealth Management Division of La Trobe Financial, one of Australia’s leading non-bank lenders responsible for distributing the firm’s $5.5bn Australian Credit Fund through his extensive network in the New South Wales wealth advisory market. Earlier in his career Todd worked as Regional Manager at XTB (Australian Corporate Bond Company) originating and structuring senior corporate debt via exchange traded product structures listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Todd commenced his career at Challenger based in Sydney where he worked as an Instrument Specialist and later as an Annuity Consultant. He holds a Bachelor of Business, Financial Planning from RMIT University and is currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance at Macquarie University.

Rajiv is a Senior Quantitative Analyst responsible for the management and enhancement of Tribeca’s in-house quantitative investment capabilities and risk management systems. Rajiv brings significant quantitative expertise to the team with over 20 years’ experience in quantitative equity trading, strategy development and implementation. He started his career in Fixed Income and currency research at Mizuho before moving to Credit Suisse’s prop trading desk in London implementing statistical arbitrage strategies. Rajiv also spent 10 years at Regal Funds Management in Sydney developing quantitative trading strategies for Asia Pacific Equity markets. Before joining Tribeca, Rajiv worked as a consultant data scientist at DXC Technologies where he was engaged in Federal Government projects involving big data, machine learning and cloud technologies. Rajiv holds a Master’s Degree in Development Economics from the University of Sussex, England where he specialised in Financial Econometrics. He has published articles in currency and volatility forecasting in periodicals from Risk Publications. As a consultant he has also written white papers on driving smarter investment strategies with data and AI and on future proofing machine learning operations during major market shifts.

Todd is the Portfolio Manager for the Tribeca 2050 Strategy which is focused on decarbonisation beneficiaries such as carbon credits, green chemicals, green metals, green food and industrial innovation. As a senior member of the Tribeca Global Natural Resources investment team, he also leads research coverage of key sectors such as energy and bulk commodities, drawing on over two decades of specialist research and portfolio management experience in the natural resources sector having previously worked with Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM) in London and Sydney. Todd holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Newcastle and is a CFA charterholder. He is an experienced Company Director, and is currently a director of ASX listed Tribeca Global Natural Resources (TGF:ASX).

Emmeline is responsible for the management of Tribeca’s Singapore office as well as providing executive support for senior investment and operations staff. She has a background in accounting and commerce, having worked in corporate tax, enterprise risk management and administration roles at PWC and Keppel Land. She has a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and International Business from the University of New South Wales.
Head of Research | Sydney
In his role as Head of Research, Angus has responsibility and oversight for idea generation, investment research strategy and implemenation across various strategies managed by Tribeca as well as providing day to day leadership and mentorship to junior analysts. He has 21 years of finance industry experience, including 14 years of funds management experience in Australia and the UK. Prior to joining Tribeca, Angus a portfolio manager for the global long short equity fund at Aitken Investment Management for 4 years. Prior to this Angus held similar roles at Searchlight Asset Management, a Sydney-based boutique fund with an Asia-Pacific mandate and Satellite Asset Management in London. Earlier in his career, Angus spent 6 years working at Deutsche Bank in Sydney within the mergers and acquisition team focusing on infrastructure, industrials and transportation sectors. Angus holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Sydney University with majors in Finance and economics. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and an Investment Management Certificate from the Financial Services Authority (UK).
