Tribeca is a Sydney-based boutique asset manager which is wholly owned by its employees. Tribeca has a global investor base including pension funds, endowments, foundations, financial institutions, family offices and high net worth investors. John Stover
Portfolio Manager, Singapore
John Stover founded the Tribeca Asia Credit Strategy in 2019 and has been the Portfolio Manager since inception. The award-winning strategy pursues an actively managed long short approach to investing in the Asia Pacific credit market. John leverages his extensive experience and deep knowledge of corporates across the Asia Pacific region gained over 12 years working at Farallon Capital Management, a global multi-strategy hedge fund firm, where he invested capital across a range of core strategies including liquid credit, direct lending, equity long/short and direct equity. While at Farallon, John served on the Executive Committee, Resources & Reserves Governance Committee and Audit Committee of PT Agincourt Resources, which owns the Martabe mine, one of the largest gold mines in Indonesia. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, where he graduated with Honors.
Investment Overview
The Investment Strategy of the Trust is to invest predominantly in a portfolio of listed and traded credit or Credit-Like securities with fundamental Asia Pacific exposure. The Trust may also hold Cash on a temporary or limited basis.
The Underlying Fund may invest in listed and traded credit or Credit-Like securities that are traded in the Asia Pacific region as well as those traded outside of the Asia Pacific region that have fundamental Asia Pacific business exposure. This includes a range of investment structures including but not limited to bonds, convertible securities, preferred stock, and equities.
The Investment Objective of the Trust is to seek to generate medium and long-term risk-adjusted absolute returns, including regular income distributions. Income distributions are expected monthly once the Trust has deployed the proceeds of the Offer. The Investment Objective is not intended to be a forecast. It is only an indication of what the Investment Strategy aims to achieve over the medium to long term, assuming financial markets remain relatively stable during that time. The Trust may not achieve its Investment Objective irrespective of market conditions being stable or volatile. Returns are not guaranteed.
